Hannah Berson:
As a strategy consultant with over 20 years of experience, I have built a deep understanding of what it takes to create effective solutions for clients. However, as the world evolved, I recognized the need to embrace more innovative methods to better serve their ever-changing needs. That's when I discovered the power of Design Thinking. By incorporating this approach into my client work, I was able to gather insights faster, identify problems more efficiently, and unleash the creativity of my teams and clients.
This experience led me to found SALT Collaboratory in 2019, with the mission to help clients create innovative solutions using Design Thinking. I now design and deliver high-priority engagements across a diverse range of clients in the healthcare, real estate, financial services, non-profit, and manufacturing industries. Time and again, I marvel at the difference Design Thinking makes in helping teams unlock their full potential.
As a LUMA Certified Instructor and member of the Mural Professional Network, I'm passionate about sharing my knowledge and contributing to the Design Thinking ecosystem through advisory roles, pro-bono initiatives, podcasts, and webinars. Prior to founding SALT Collaboratory, I held senior positions at consultancies Kearney and Cap Gemini Ernst and Young (CGEY) in London and Point B in Seattle.
When I'm not working, I love to travel and mentor other women in business. I call Seattle home, where I live with my husband, two children, and adorable pup

Our Story
The word "SALT" in our name represents what we believe is the missing ingredient in traditional problem solving: Design Thinking. By weaving Design Thinking into everything we do with clients, we help them tackle their toughest challenges to achieve breakthrough results. SALT is also an acronym for the places our founder, Hannah, has lived throughout her diverse life. From South Africa to Seattle, Amsterdam to London, Tel Aviv to Toronto, Hannah's journey has taken her across the globe and exposed her to a wide range of perspectives and experiences.
The Missing Ingredient
At SALT Collaboratory, we work with clients across industries and around the world who are looking for new ways of working. We find that the universal language of Design Thinking is equally applicable to our clients in healthcare, financial services, manufacturing, consulting and non-profits in the US, Europe, Australia and Argentina.
