Challenge

Schneider Electric, a global leader in energy management and automation, wanted to elevate its Digital Solutions and Software sales team in Canada. Leadership aimed to stand out in a competitive market by equipping the team with Design Thinking skills to engage deeply with customers, identify their challenges, and co-create tailored solutions that drive better business outcomes.

​Approach

SALT Collaboratory created a customized Design Thinking training program designed to meet the unique needs of Schneider Electric’s Sales Team:

  • Conducted a needs assessment through interviews and planning sessions to align the training with the team’s specific products, processes, and challenges

  • Delivered a two-day in-person training in Mississauga, Ontario, introducing Design Thinking methods and mindsets from the LUMA System

  • Embedded real-world sales scenarios into the training, giving participants the chance to apply Design Thinking principles directly to their work

  • Provided three months of post-training coaching to help participants apply their new skills with confidence in both internal and client-facing scenarios

  • Introduced digital collaboration tools to help the team excel in remote and hybrid work environments

​Results

The Design Thinking training program had a significant impact on how Schneider Electric’s Sales Team approached both client engagement and internal collaboration:

  • Made senior internal meetings more focused and productive, with sharper alignment on goals and faster decision-making

  • Brought new energy to client conversations, enabling the team to engage at a deeper level, build trust, and deliver creative, tailored solutions

  • Strengthened collaboration across teams, allowing them to work together more effectively in the development of innovative client solutions

  • Built confidence in using tools digital collaboration tools, making remote and hybrid work more seamless and productive
